The Very Best Lenses for Nikon D7000

With the release of Nikon's newest charmer, the Nikon D7000, many photographers, beginners and professionals alike, are wondering which are the best lenses to accompany it.

Though there are many excellent lenses out there from which to choose, professional photographer Mathieu Gasquet and I have come up with a list of what we feel are the four best lenses to combine with your Nikon D7000.

Each lens presented here possesses a particular aspect which makes it stand out among the rest. From the refined bokeh effect provided by the two Nikkor f/1.8 prime lenses, to the wide zoom range of the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300 mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR, there is something to please every photographer.

If you own one of these lenses, we would love to hear about your experience with it. To leave us a comment, just head down to the bottom of the page.
A versatile lens appropriate for most photography styles
If you don't like to frequently change lenses on a digital reflex system, this is the lens for you. With this lens, you will be able to photograph large areas such as landscapes while still being able to zoom in on particular details such as birds or small animals. Brand new in the Nikon catalogue, it is also the first lens to offer an extremely vast range for the Dx format (Nikon APS-C format). However, as with everything, practicality comes with a heavy price (around $1000).
